Greetings to all those, who are tired of 40-degree sun! Let’s please yourself with refreshing cocktails Julep.
Julep can be soft and alcoholic, but today the weather is warm, so we will not risk the health and shall prepare drinks based on mineral water.
The distinctive feature of the julep is mint and mint puree.
Pick a few sprigs of mint and chop with a knife. If you have a blender, put mint in a blender to make a puree and add water or lemon juice. If you don’t have blender press the mint in a sturdy glass using pestle from the mortar (or spoon).
Variants for 2 servings:
Take the liter bottle of Borjomi.
From this we will need 600 ml.
Juice of 1 lemon
Mint puree of 8-10 sprigs of mint
Mix mint puree, juice and Borjomi.
Pour into tall glasses, decorate with slices of lemon and a sprig of mint.
Tomato julep (my favorite):
— 500 ml good tomato juice.
— 100 ml of Borjomi (there is still left some of lemon Julep.)))
— Juice of 1 lemon
— Mint puree of 8-10 sprigs of mint
As in any cocktail lemon and tomato juice is not a dogma.
You can also use peach and pineapple, and pumpkin juice and in general, any available. Although birch juice. It does not matter. The most important thing is the presence of mint, Borjomi and natural lemon juice.
